This was a snapshot of a garden party held annually (though not in 2020!) by a friend of mine. It's held in July in Southern England and the weather is usually kind, as it is in this painting. The garden is in full bloom as are the ladies in their brightly coloured dresses. The gold colour of the chairs matched the straw hats and contrasted well with the vibrant blues. Painted mainly with brushes.
