Macclefield is a very old market town in Cheshire and still has a number of cobbled streets around the town hall in the centre. On the last Sunday of the month it is host to a Treacle Market with stalls selling arts and craft, plants, household items and every kind of food and drink. The idea behind this painting was the stroll though the old town on the way back from the market on a sunny afternoon in the winter.
Painted with palette knives - oil on board 20x16". framed in a white wood frame.
