I spotted this scene on a bright winter's day walking back from the station in Macclesfield. It's Sunderland Street, which features some pretty old buildings, an old school, an old mill and many small shops and offices - very typical of a northern town. I'm always in two minds about painting vehicles - on the one hand the scene would look too olde worlde without them but I find many of them not that exciting and tricky to paint with a palette knife. I've used a limited palette and a knife to capture this sunny side of the street.
